What makes Goodman furnaces so good?
Our Goodman 95% high efficiency Energy Star rated furnaces
are so efficient that 95 cents of every dollar of gas burned heats the house and
only 5 cents goes out the vent pipe. This compares to many older furnaces that
only are 70% efficient and waste 30 cents out of every dollar up the chimney.
To keep your home more comfortable our Goodman furnaces use 2 stages of heat.
The trick to keeping you comfortable is to gently heat the house with a longer
cycle at a more moderate temperature. This prevents large temperature swings
that can occur if you only have a single stage furnace.
The HEAT EXCHANGER is the largest and most critical component of the furnace.
If a heat exchanger fails carbon monoxide could enter the home and make a
dangerous condition for the occupants.
There are two types of heat exchangers manufactured by the various furnace
manufacturers. They are called clamshell and tubular design.
A clamshell heat exchanger is made by taking a flat sheet of steel and stamping
a curved impression into it. The sheet is then bent in half like a clam and
riveted together. The problem with this design is that as the metal heats and
cools, the curved portions of the metal expand and contract at different rates
than the flat portions and cause stress at the joints and rivets. This is where
cracks in the heat exchanger develop creating a hazardous condition.
Tubular heat exchangers are made circular which expand and contract at the same
rate to prevent the metal stress associated with the clamshell type.
Goodman builds their furnaces with tubular design to ensure that they have an
extremely long life.
All furnace manufacturers use ignitors to ignite the gas
when the furnace starts. There are two materials that ignitors are made from.
The first material is silicon carbide, which is very brittle and has a tendency
to burn out after just a few years and need to be replaced.
The other material used to make ignitors is silicon nitride. Silicon nitride is
7 times stronger than silicon carbide and has a much longer life expectancy.
All of the Goodman high efficiency furnaces have silicon nitride ignitors to
prevent the ignitors from cracking or burning out.
Goodman furnaces are so reliable that they come with a
lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and 10 years on all of the other parts.
This great warranty ensures that you will not have to worry about expensive
repairs.
When you purchase a new furnace you want comfort, efficiency and reliability.
Our Goodman high efficiency furnaces give you all of this and we professionally
install them at a great price.
There is no
better built furnace on the market!
You will have peace of mind with the Lifetime Warranty
on the Heat Exchanger and 10 Years on All Other Parts !
2-Stage Heat keeps the temperature in the different rooms in your home more
even for greater comfort.
Energy saving, quiet four-speed blower saves on your electric bill.
Tubular heat exchanger is built to last and has a lifetime warranty.
The igniter is made of silicon nitride which can last much longer than the
fragile ceramic igniters that other manufacturers use.
